Who runs DataForge.
DataForge is provided by NetFlow Ops LLC, doing business as DataForge Labs.
A founder profile has not been published yet. We would rather say that than invent one.
What local-first does and does not mean.
Your records are processed in the browser and stored in that browser's local storage on your device. DataForge is designed not to intentionally transmit private company data to an external server.
That also means no server-side backup. Export backups yourself, and secure your device.
Licensing and subscription payments use online services, including Stripe. HeyCatch collects masked usage analytics; this is not an analytics-free or entirely offline service. It is your business records that remain browser-local.
A license allows up to 5 or 15 browser installations, but license slots do not sync data between browsers. It is not built for teams needing simultaneous multi-user cloud sync.
